This detached bungalow is in the charming village of Woolsery. The village (also known as Woolfardisworthy) is a small thriving community, centred around the historic Norman church and the Farmers Arms pub. Newcroft is situated in the centre of the village, beside the village school. It is an ideal place to experience Devon village life and a wonderful base to explore the spectacular coast and countryside in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Inside the property, there is a bright and spacious lounge/diner offering plenty of room for family meals and a comfortable space to relax in front of the wood burner when the evenings turn cooler. There are also two cheerful bedrooms – a king-size and a twin as well as an updated bathroom. The kitchen is smart, well presented and perfectly equipped for all of your culinary needs. From the kitchen, a door leads out into a good-sized, south-facing enclosed garden which is the ideal place for a spot of relaxation on warmer days.

In the village itself, aside from the pub, there is also a post office stores and fish and chip shop close by. And for days out, the stunning coastal landscape around Bucks Mills, Hartland and Clovelly – all within 7 miles. Clovelly is a beautiful village where a steep climb down a cobbled street, dotted with shops, takes you to a lovely harbour – there are also a couple of good pubs too. The property gives easy access to wonderful coastal walks, picturesque coves and the beautiful rolling countryside as well as being close enough to venture into Cornwall. You are also within reaching distance of many local attractions that will suit both young and the young at heart including beautiful gardens such as RHS Rosemoor, (14 miles) family attractions such as the Milky Way and The Big Sheep (3 and 8 miles respectively) as well as the large surfing beaches of Westward Ho! & Bude (10 and 17 miles).

Convenient location close to shops and lovely pub and fish and chip restaurant. The Milky Way was close, but the big sheep was our preference. Whats lovely is there is a milking farm vending machine up the road that do a variety of flavoured milk and well worth a visit. If your intending on staying be sure you have your Amazon account, Netflix or YRead moreouTube account at the ready to login and use, as the tv didnt work with digital signal or analogue. When I saw the video player I felt like Id gone back in time to the late 80s. It would be good if the details of what the home has is included in the description, ie iron etc, we took one as a precaution but didnt need to as the property did have one. Hide

Great location with village facilities and for accessing north Devon. Comfortable and well equipped plus several OS maps of the area. For dog owners, from the door, there is circular walk of about a mile linking 2 short footpaths between the houses, around a field with fenced off path in case livestock in field, then back long 2 tracks popping outRead more on a road just above the school. Was muddy on the track as had been raining but would be lovely in dry weather. We found the villagers very friendly and even went to the (regular) coffee morning - cake recommended! Hide
