In a central location in the village of Braunton with its great choice of vibrant cafes, shops, pubs and restaurants, this stone-built cottage is also just a short drive away from the fabulous beach at Saunton Sands (2 miles). Positioned at the end of a row of similar cottages in a courtyard arrangement, on the site of the former farm, the property is ideal for couples looking to holiday with friends or for a fun family break.
Freshly styled with quality furnishings, the cottage is a relaxing home-from-home to come back to after a busy day walking the dogs on the beach or taking in one of the many attractions in North Devon. The hallway leads round to a well-equipped kitchen/breakfast room complete with a traditional slate floor. The wooden table seats up to six and the kitchen area is a good size with ample work surfaces and a window overlooking the garden. The living room with its ornamental fireplace and old bread oven feels very homely with two comfortable sofas, a Smart TV and PlayStation 3. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms and a stylish bathroom. The spacious master bedroom comes with a super-king-size bed with a brown leather headboard and buttermilk wooden furniture. The twin room is again attractively furnished and decorated with quality furnishing. The single room is just across the landing. All three bedrooms share a handy bathroom. The cottage welcomes pets and part of the small garden has been fenced off. The large shed provides ample space for storing all outdoor recreation equipment.
Braunton is an ideal location for the surfing beaches at Saunton and Croyde (5.5 miles), both of which are nearby. If you’ve brought your bikes along, the Tarka Trail (part of the National Cycle Network) is very close to the cottage (150 metres). The route heads out towards the picturesque Taw Estuary, Barnstaple (7 miles) and Instow (11.5 miles). This cottage is a very popular choice for year-round holidays in North Devon. Braunton is served by a plethora of shops, restaurants, bars and the Museum of British Surfing. You’ll also be able to access Braunton Burrows, a massive network of sand dunes that makes for a great walk or a day of sand surfing.
