This property is located in a most wonderful position, nestling alongside the beautiful Taw Estuary and overlooking the sandy estuary beach of Instow. Wonderful views can be seen from many rooms across the ever-changing tides and towards the pretty village of Appledore and out to sea making this a gorgeous coastal escape for up to eight guests to make memories whatever the season.

This recently refurbished beach villa has been well designed, thoughtfully furnished and stylishly presented throughout with limed wooden floors and gleaming white walls. Laid out over three floors, the house is spacious, light and airy with plenty of room for enjoying wonderful holidays with family and friends. The spacious and stylish open-plan living room is on the first floor so you can make the most of the wonderful views, while the large balcony runs the full width of the house - ideal for enjoying the ebb and flow of the tide and the magnificent sunsets. A pristine, white, high-quality kitchen is at the rear of the property with a large dining table for meals with family and friends and patio doors lead out onto a large, decked patio. Three beautifully finished and inviting bedrooms can be found on the ground floor – two doubles (one with an en-suite) and a twin – as well as an en-suite king-size room on the second floor. There is also a family bathroom on the ground floor.

The pretty village of Instow has everything you could need for a relaxing break and a gentle stroll along the Marine Parade will find a superb delicatessen and cafe and great choice of pubs and restaurants serving locally caught seafood. The wide sandy beach with its gentle tidal waters is ideal for families and during the summer, a variety of water sports can be enjoyed out in the bay and there’s a small (seasonal) foot ferry which you can take across to Appledore. The Tarka Trail can be joined almost from the doorstep for those who wish to walk or cycle the miles of pathways and many family attractions are nearby.

Great accommodation in a lovely location for exploring the area. The main living area is superb and a relaxing place to be. 9am departure time, as well as having to strip all the beds before you leave, felt a bit much at the end of a holiday but overall a great place.

Location great. Pub next door (nearly). Excellent views over the estuary. Better for summer than winter visitors due to wind noise in some bedrooms.
