Wake up to a wonderful sea view from a superb contemporary apartment overlooking the beach at Fishcombe Cove. The light-filled, first-floor property has patio doors opening onto a glass-fronted balcony with a panoramic vista of the glorious South Devon coastline. Sleeping four guests, this is a lovely spot for a family or friends to enjoy a holiday on the English Riviera. There is a shared, heated outdoor swimming pool on site for use in the summer months and the apartment is within 200 metres of the beach. A 1-mile walk along the scenic South West Coast Path, just 30 metres away, brings you to the beautiful harbourside town of Brixham.

The apartment is set in a skilfully designed new development in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Simply furnished in a contemporary style, it features light wooden floors and splashes of marine colours. The open-plan living area, with double sliding glass doors to the balcony, comprises comfortable sofas, a dining area and a streamlined kitchen. There are two inviting bedrooms: a double with a door to the balcony and a twin/super-king-size bedroom. Patio furniture and sun loungers on the full-width decked balcony are well-placed for spotting seals or dolphins.

Take a swim in the sheltered waters of Fishcombe Cove or enjoy a spot of kayaking. Across the cove, the Battery Gardens, a natural park with woodland walks and wildflowers has more spectacular views of Tor Bay. Historic Brixham offers shops, restaurants and pubs. Head for the colourful inner harbour to find boat trips offering wildlife safaris. There are two fascinating National Trust properties nearby: Greenway (4 miles), once the home of the great crime writer Agatha Christie, and Coleton Fishacre (4.5 miles), a beautiful country house with a gorgeous tropical garden.

We had a very enjoyable time and would return. Great views of the bay and adjacent woodland with an easy walk into Brixham. The apartment was well equipped with a comfortable double bed. Space and facilities were perfectly adequate for 2 adults (and two children) but would probably be too small for 4 adults.

Amazing holiday accommodation, spotlessly clean in excellent location. Accommodation was modern and had everything you needed - hairdryer, iron, plenty of cooking equipment & utensils, all coffee, tea etc was provided, also foil, cleaning products, dishwasher tablets and washing machine products - no need to take anything like that. Excellent view Read morefrom patio area outside overlooking bay / across to Torquay. Two minute walk down to Fishcombe Cove via private gate from complex. Shingle beach but a little gem of a cove with cafe and refreshments (and alcohol) available and friendly staff. On site outside heated swimming pool which was great for kids and adults too as nice temperature. 10-15 walk along the coastal path into centre of Brixham which is a lovely harbour with shops / restaurants / bars. Can also use the club house at caravan park other side of road which has a bar / serves food and regular entertainment and bingo. Highly recommend this place - we were a family of 4 (kids age 13 & 10). If you want a sandy beach Broadsands Beach & Goodrington Beach - 10-15 min drive beautiful. Days out to Dartmouth (via car ferry) and Torquay which are close. Hide

A lovely apartment with fantastic views and so peaceful all the time - I found my stay there very calming. You are able to walk into Brixham without needing to use the car so location is very good. The little cafe down on the cove is a lovely touch and caters for most needs for snacks and drinks and ice-cream. The apartment has all you need for Read moreself catering (as I did during my week as travelled alone) with plenty of crockery and cutlery for maximum guests - and a dishwasher! The beds are comfortable as are the sofas in lounge and everything was so clean and well looked after. I would recommend the accommodation for a couple or maybe a young family but not necessarily two couples or with teenagers as they might find the bathroom (being just off the lounge) a little too public as it only has a sliding pocket door so privacy cold be an issue with other people sitting in the lounge. Overall it is a great place to stay and just sitting on the balcony with those views makes the holiday, especially if it's sunny as it was the whole of my stay!. . Hide

Lovely apartment in a fabulous location. It was great to sit on the balcony and watch over the sea or see Torquay light up at night on the other side of the bay. The apartment was lovely and clean and comfortable. It was very useful having a dish washer and a washing machine. The kitchen was equipped for enough crockery for about 10 people :-) Read moreWe did find it lacked enough space to store clothes or food though. The whole apartment area was lovely and clean and it was great to be able to walk to either of the coves. My youngest enjoyed being in the pool but wished it stayed open a bit longer than 6pm. All in all it was a lovely stay and we were blessed with fabulous weather. Would definitely recommend. Hide
