A peaceful, calming and restful place with extensive grounds providing plenty of space to walk dogs. The lakes are a haven for wildlife; fish, waterfowl and even beavers, which can be seen active in the evenings. We loved the spacious accommodation and the very comfortable beds. We absolutely loved our stay at the barn. Liz is a wonderful host, and made us feel so at home. We visited with our two children and intended to spend much of the week exploring the surrounding area (including fossil hunting on the coast, which was ace), but we were also so happy in the cottage and the gardens that we spent a lot of time just playiRead moreng, exploring the gardens and all the wildlife and relaxing there. We had a lovely picnic lunch in the boathouse - highly recommended, and the girls were thrilled to feed the fish and Treacle the pig, to see bats in the evenings and look out for the pair of nesting ducks and geese. The cottage is gorgeous and very comfortable, and the whole of Hutchinghayes is exceptionally beautiful. We are already looking forward to returning! Thank you so much Liz for a wonderful week's stay X Hide
