This charming ground-floor apartment is the perfect place to escape for a romantic break. Located just a mile from the bustling town centre and harbour of Ilfracombe, the stunning views across the harbour towards Wales will make you never want to leave. It is stylishly decorated with light tones, high ceilings and large windows, making it feel bright and airy – a real home from home.

The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner of this stylish apartment gives plenty of space for couples to relax and unwind. Cook up some treats in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy a romantic dinner at the table while admiring the stunning views. After supper, snuggle up on the comfortable sofas and watch TV, or head into the king-size bedroom with its timeless pine furniture and large bay window for a good night’s sleep. While there is no outside space with this apartment, the parks, beaches and harbour of Ilfracombe are within 1 mile. Enjoy the fresh sea air, or have a picnic or fish and chips, while taking in the incredible scenery. The local area is a foodie's haven with a range of eateries on your doorstep. Fantastic view from the window, wow!! A perfect stay. Well equipped, everything has been thought of. Excellent location, only a 15 minute walk into Ilfracombe.

Very clean and comfortable ideal to explore area the only negative place we visited was the animal park at Coombe Martin total waste of money Highly recommend the dolphin restaurant by the harbour lovely food good portions and friend staff and air conditioned which was a blessing during heat wave

Captains View is wonderfully located in Ilfracombe overlooking the harbour. Beautiful views and perfect to watch harbour life! Situated only 5 minutes away from the harbour and high street it is perfectly located to explore all Ilfracombe has to offer. The apartment is well equipped and has a very calm feel to it. The welcome gifts were very much Read moreappreciated & used for coffee on arrival. The parking is limited on the drive, but ample on road parking near the apartment which is very handy. This was our third stay here & we gave already booked for next year. In our opinion it is perfect for our holiday. Hide

This was a lovely apartment with a fabulous view over the bay. Parking was no problem, and every need was anticipated. Lovely flowers and comestibles to greet us on our arrival. Walk into town was straightforward, but return journey required more effort! Overall a great base for exploring North Devon.

Has a fantastic couple of weeks,though we came home a day early because storm Any was due!! The apartment was lovely, real home from home. Views over to the harbour were amazing, and we were so lucky with the weather. Found lots of walks and interest round and about Ilfracombe, ventured out in car a couple of times but mostly bus or walk. The apartment was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. We had everything we needed, I couldn't fault it. The view is just amazing and it's so special to have that. Great to have parking and the location was perfect for us. Particularly good that it is a ground floor apartment, straight out of the car and in, no stairs! Brilliant.

We had a great week-long stay at the Captain's View, which turned out to be a perfect choice for us as wanted a seaside 'feel', a convenient location for transport, but also somewhere that was convenient for parking (as we were heading to France afterwards and had quite a bit of luggage with us). The flat is on the same level as the road / parking Read moreso it's effortless to get in and out. The house is on the edge of Ilfracombe - in fact as you drive in from out of town (from the southeast) you're on a country road and then the house is suddenly there, among other period properties (and at night owls join the seagull chorus). It's true that it's a long walk up the hill from town, so do take this into account - but this is often part and parcel of staying in seaside towns in the south-west. We ended up walking all the SWCP stages from Lynmouth to Barnstaple, taking advantage of local buses most days, and this was a great base; we really enjoyed our meals in the well equipped kitchen, looking out to sea (N Wales visible most days) and the Iron Age hill fort. Nice cosy apartment. Fantastic views of the sea, the harbour and Hillsborough which we did climb. As long as you are fit, comfortable walking distance to the town and harbour.

This is a comfortable apartment with lots of equipment. The owner adds some lovely touches - a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits plus some beautiful fresh flowers. Location is good - quiet area but, it is at the top of the hill and a 10 minute walk to the centre - going down is easy, coming back is more of a challenge.
