For beach lovers, the spectacular sandy beaches of Saunton or Croyde are 4 and 6.5 miles respectively. Alternatively, head off in the other direction to picturesque waterfront villages such as Appledore (15 miles) and Instow (10 miles) or the market town of Barnstaple with its shops, cafes, bars and pannier market, just 5 miles away.
