Again at lovely nearby Instow, dogs are not permitted between The Quay to the south and The Boathouse pub to the north in July and August between 10am and 5pm. Elsewhere you can find open beaches at Greencliffs (3 miles) and Bucks Mills (8 miles) within half an hour of Bideford that welcome dogs all year round. Other open spaces for great fun with the dog include the Hobby Drive set above the area’s most famous visitor attraction, Clovelly, a traditional fishing village with a fishing harbour, cobbled streets and donkey rides!
