Bantham Beach is a Blue Flag beach, making it super clean and safe to swim at, which is a good job considering it’s South Devon’s most popular surfing beach. The shore of Bantham beach is also lovely and sandy, perfect for a lie down in the sun. From Bantham Beach, you get a lovely view across to Bigbury Bay and Burgh Island. This area of Devon was beloved by famous author Agatha Christie, and Burgh Island is perhaps the Devonshire landmark that has felt the weight of her legacy most, reached by the famous Sea Tractor. 

If you’re into your walks, then you’ll be pleased to hear that our Bantham holiday homes are located next to the South West Coast Path. Just 4 miles away on the path is the neighbouring village of Thurlestone, which is home to two fantastic beaches and a golf course. You can also walk to Bantham’s other neighbour, Kingsbridge, which is 4.5 miles away and is an equally lovely day out. Nearby Kingsbridge is also home to lots of great food and drink spots, making it the perfect place to stop off for an ice cream or delicious Devon cream tea, and you can easily explore the rest of the South Hams from our Bantham accommodation too.
