A pretty stone barn conversion with a shared heated outdoor swimming pool and play area, this cottage is set in a peaceful complex of nine properties, less than a mile from the vast sandy beach and seaside village of Westward Ho!. Guests are free to explore the 15 acres of farmland surrounding the cottages and meet the resident goats, sheep and Kunekune pigs. Two dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead while on site.
The two-storey cottage is cosy and homely; a comfortable base for a small family or couple looking to explore the glorious North Devon coast. A double and twin bedroom share a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Set in a pretty courtyard with the other properties, the cottage benefits from the use of a shared 40ft outdoor heated swimming pool during the summer months, and children will love the play area with swings, slide and stilted playhouse. A shared BBQ area within a grassy field bordered by trees is the perfect spot to relax on a sunny evening and there’s a shared lawn at the front of the property too.
Under a mile away, the village of Westward Ho! offers grocery shops, a bakery, pubs, restaurants and cafes, not to mention a 2-mile stretch of golden sand at low to mid tide. Visit the harbour town of Bideford (3 miles) for independent shops and eateries, or to hop onto the Tarka Trail, a walking and cycling route leading 32 miles from Braunton to Meeth. Family attractions The BIG Sheep (1.5 miles) and The Milky Way (8.5 miles) will keep little ones entertained for hours.
