Set in an elevated position overlooking the Devon countryside, this impressive property is perfect for a relaxed stay away from the bustle of daily life. When you’re done for the day, relax in your private enclosed lawn and breathe in the delightful country air.

High ceilings and an open-plan layout add plenty of space inside the barn, providing a great spot for families and friends to unwind in each other’s company. With a wood burner in the lounge area and underfloor heating on the ground floor, you’ll feel cosy and warm all year round. Throughout the decor is clean and contemporary, with quirky farmyard touches so you won’t forget you’re in the heart of Devon here. Outside, enjoy some al fresco dining or laze in the hammock, which you will find in the BBQ area that is shared with the other property on-site.

Enjoy a country walk or short drive into the nearby village of Chulmleigh (5.5 miles) and enjoy its range of shops and pubs. Here you will even find a golf course and riding stables to keep you entertained during your stay. Further afield, head to the famous moors, Dartmoor (16 miles) and Exmoor (19.5 miles), where you will find plenty of walking and cycling opportunities. Of course, it isn’t a Devon holiday without a trip to the beach, and North Devon’s golden sands and great surf makes for a great day out. Head to Westward Ho! (20 miles), Saunton (24 miles), or Woolacombe (29 miles).

Excellent quality accommodation in a stunning location in rural Devon. It is remote and a decent drive to the nearest supermarket however that is what we were looking for in our case. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

Sheer perfection, this holiday was a treat to the three of us, never stayed in anything but a caravan before, Beautiful location, surrounded by field, a pond and woodland, the barn style accommodation accommodates 6 comfortably, with 2 huge king size bedrooms one downstairs with en-sweet bathroom which was great as I have mobility issues. A beautiful peaceful setting in a really rural area. The freedom for kids is amazing with lovely grounds to run around. Had a lovely week surrounded by a field of rabbits and no traffic noise at all Xxxx

Atmosphere akin to an American prairie, highly recommended: Two architecturally smart 'barns' with good privacy and outlook. Because one super king size bedroom is en suite (walk-in shower) and downstairs, our disability needs were met. Devon farmland spans out in all directions, Torquay just over the hour (main road route) and coastal villages of Read morenorth Devon nearer. The horses in adjacent paddock were a welcomed distraction. There are two safety issues the owner could point out on arrival. Hide
