Unwind amidst the fresh air and glorious Devon scenery of this 300-acre working sheep farm. The detached cottage is ideal for couples or families and is within easy reach of beauty spots, friendly pubs, market towns and lovely beaches.
Get cosy in this charming cottage, a great place to de-stress and reconnect with nature. From the parking space, it’s three steps up to the door into the kitchen/diner, where the morning sun pours through the large windows and there are views over rolling hills – a wonderful place for a lazy breakfast. The welcoming lounge also has fabulous views, and in the evenings, you can draw the curtains and snuggle by the wood burner and Smart TV. The family bathroom is on this floor, while the two bedrooms – a double and a twin – are upstairs, both with sloped ceilings, original beams and ample storage space. There’s also a handy WC on the first floor. From the lounge, stone steps lead to an enclosed lawn, and off the kitchen, there’s a patio with furniture for al fresco meals. Best of all, you’ll find a children’s play area that’s exclusive to the cottage and is bound to be a hit with the younger members of your group.
Get into the great outdoors and explore the rugged scenery of Exmoor National Park. As well as walking you can ride, cycle or even canoe and, at the end of the day, you’ll find three great country pubs within 4 miles of the cottage in which to relax. The thriving market town of South Molton is 4 miles away (don’t forget to have a cream tea – the Devon way is clotted cream first, then jam on top), while Barnstaple is 14.5 miles and the beaches of Saunton Sands and Westward Ho! are both within 24 miles.
