In the heart of rural Devon, this peaceful and pretty holiday home is a calming retreat for couples and families. Close to the market town of South Molton and within reach of the stunning beaches of the North Devon Coast, you’re sure to enjoy a fantastic holiday in this tranquil region.

A reverse-level design means that this detached holiday home really makes the most of its stunning views. From the hall, head upstairs to the lounge/kitchen/diner that takes up the entire first floor – here the original beams contrast with a modern kitchen for easy cooking and clearing up. When you’ve eaten, head over to the lounge area, where you can gather around the Smart TV and wood burner to enjoy a quiet evening in. The two bedrooms, a double and a twin, are both on the ground floor, one step up from the hallway and sharing a family bathroom. Their quirky architecture includes striking arched windows and a step in the middle of the double room. Outside, your enclosed garden has a lawn which is a great place for youngsters to let off steam while adults breathe in the fresh Devon air and enjoy the rural scenery.

On the edge of Exmoor National Park and set within a 300-acre working sheep farm, the holiday escape is a great base for getting out and about in nature, whether you want to walk, cycle, ride, fish, rock climb or try some water sports. Enjoy a cream tea in one of the pretty villages (don’t forget the Devon way is cream first, then jam!) or head for one of the local pubs. Visit the markets in South Molton, 4 miles, or the shops in Barnstaple, 14.5 miles, or spend the day on the beach at Saunton Sands, 23 miles, Westward Ho!, 24 miles, or Woolacombe, 30 miles.

A lovely cottage in a peaceful, rural location with super views. Clean, comfortable and felt like a home from home. Great location for walking and the coast. Recommended!

Beautiful location with wonderful views. Incredibly peaceful and quiet. Very clean and comfortable. Lots of things to do near by. I would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage, The Arch Barn. We would definitely recommend. Gorgeous property, peaceful location. We all loved the puzzles! The owners were lovely. We didn't want to leave. Thank you for a fabulous holiday.
