This wonderful barn conversion in the gorgeous North Devon countryside provides a wonderful opportunity to escape your usual pace of life. In the grounds of a farm along with two other properties, guests can appreciate the unbridled tranquillity, enjoy the far-reaching views and still be only 3 miles from the attractive village and beach of Instow with its sand dunes, sailing club, shops, pubs and cafes. Although it has a rural location, this property is ideally situated to explore everything that North Devon has to offer.

Sympathetically converted, this traditional property has many charming features such as exposed beams and stone walls. The vaulted ceilings and light walls make the barn seem even more spacious than it already is. The reverse-level layout means the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner makes the most of the breathtaking views. The area is large and spacious allowing families and friends to spend quality time together and the lounge is comfortable for when you want to relax. Downstairs, there are two delightful bedrooms that share a contemporary bathroom. Outside, guests are encouraged to join in with some farm activities, which is perfect for families. There is also a shared garden with BBQ and furniture.

You can cycle or walk the Tarka Trail, a disused railway line, from Instow to the historic, market town of Bideford (3.5 miles). In the opposite direction is Fremington Quay café (4 miles) which has the best cream teas in the area and you can then continue to Barnstaple. On those sunnier days, head to Westward Ho! and enjoy the miles of golden sand and clean surf (7 miles). For award-winning family attractions, The BIG Sheep and The Milky Way are both within 15 miles.

The cottage was beautiful, in a wonderful location. We would have preferred to have known beforehand that our dog wasnt allowed on the furniture or our bed, other ads made that clear before booking hence we didnt book them. Luckily we took our dogs bed and mostly sat on the carpet to make sure the dog didnt jump up on the sofas.

The cottage was clean comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners we very helpful with suggestions of places to visit. The views from the lounge were stunning, the lounge was on the upper floor.

We really enjoyed our stay. The position suited all ages. The young folk went to Westward Ho! For the beach. The car boot sale at Bude was very busy but interesting. We seniors strolled round Appledore and Instow, visited Arlington Gardens and House, Tapeley gardens, and coffee shops. The weather got a little hot but the large cool lounge was good.Read more We used the very useful BBQ and ate outside at the picnic bench. There's plenty more places to visit on another occasion Hide

This property is beautiful in such a lovely and quiet setting, its a working farm and you can see some of the animals as you approach the property.
