Locally, the dramatic National Trust site at Baggy Point is well worth a visit (6 miles) – crashing waves and dramatic cliffs make this a must see. You can walk there along the coast path and pop into the tearoom for a cuppa on arrival. Other options for day trips are Croyde (4.5 miles), the iconic surfing village, and Ilfracombe (5 miles), a traditional harbour town where you can board a boat to Lundy Island.
