Make a group getaway to this marvellous Devon barn conversion, set on a working dairy farm with an award-winning ice-cream parlour. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom retreat is ideal for an extended family break or a holiday with friends. As well as a private courtyard, guests have access to a shared meadow and outdoor play area. The former grain store is well situated for trips into Exeter, 5 miles away, and Dartmoor, 6.5 miles from the barn. It is also in an excellent position for days out to the South Devon coast.

Let yourselves in to find the building has been cleverly and carefully converted to offer high-specification, contemporary accommodation. The generous lounge/kitchen/diner is a chef’s dream, with everything he or she requires to produce hearty feasts with the fresh Devon produce you have bought during your stay. Dine together at the table or perch up at the breakfast bar with a glass of wine. Wander over to the cosy, comfortable area to set up a board game, watch the Smart TV or listen to your favourite songs via Alexa. Also situated on the ground floor is one of your bedrooms, a gorgeous king-size with an en-suite shower room. Climb the staircase to the galleried landing, with its exposed stonework, to your other bedrooms. These include two more king-size rooms, one with an en-suite shower room, and a twin. The family bathroom is also here. Soak up the sunshine and country air in your private courtyard. Stroll over to the shared meadow or play area with the children. This barn offers private parking for three cars.

Pack your beach gear and head down to Dawlish Warren, 11 miles away, with its long, sandy beach. Venture 9 miles to take a group ferry ride over the River Exe to explore historic Exeter.

The Grain Store is a beautiful, very well equipped cottage. The owners have paid great attention to detail. My family enjoyed a lovely weekend here. The play area is an amazing asset & we all enjoyed the ice cream parlour. We would definitely recommend it and hope to return.
