Popular with surfers and sunbathers alike, Westward Ho! has all the amusements and attractions you’d expect, from a golf course to horse riding. The South West Coast Path is within easy reach, stretching for a staggering 630 miles - follow it 11 miles to the famous cobbled village of Clovelly, taking in views from the top of the cliffs towards Braunton Sands and Baggy Point. Dartington Crystal (10.5 miles), RHS Rosemoor (11 miles), and Lundy (21 miles) are all also nearby, with the latter accessible via either boat or helicopter during the spring and summer.

This was the best apartment we have stayed in, in the UK, was modern and bright and light, with plenty of space, premium facilities and gorgeous views from the balcony
