Enjoy a taste of tiny house living with a stay at this studio-style pod. Uncluttered and chic, it’s an idyllic retreat for a coastal-loving couple and up to three canine companions.

Escape the everyday and sample the simple life with a stay at this fantastic  holiday home, one of three on an organic dairy farm close to the coastal Cornwall/Devon border. Understatedly stylish, its open-plan living space places the emphasis firmly on couple’s-time – cook, eat and unwind together, all the while enjoying views across rolling fields to the coastline, Lundy Island and beyond. Everything you’ll need for an effortless stay is here, including a fully equipped kitchen, Smart TV and a warming wood burner. When the day is done a lovely king-size bed awaits; at the opposite end of the property there’s a chic shower room. Two doors lead onto a private terrace with bespoke, home-grown oak furniture so you can sit and watch the sun set, fire up the BBQ or bask in the glow of the firepit. Beyond is a fully enclosed lawned area – perfect for any four-pawed pals to explore – and a gate leading to a further 5 acres of organic grassland.

The town of Bude (9 miles) is one of North Cornwall’s premier coastal destinations, with an impressive array of golden sandy beaches and abundance of art galleries, surf schools, shops and eateries. Closer to home, Morwenstow has tea rooms, a 13th-century inn and a historic church; this is where the eccentric 1800s parson and poet Robert Stephen Hawker made his home and, on the nearby cliff edge, famously built a refuge – Hawkers Hut – from driftwood and the timbers of wrecked ships. Just to the north, the Marsland valley straddles the Devon-Cornwall border and is lovely for a walk at any time of year.

The pod was pretty and modern but the view was absolutely breathtaking taking especially when the sun was out. It was a bonus seeing the view from bed and breath taking. The dogs were kept enclosed in the garden. The furniture in the garden and patio were useful. Pity the field at the back wasn't trimmed so we could walk around it. Absolutely perfect if you want to get away from it all. Beautiful location and extremely peaceful. Lots of kitchen equipment if you want to cook, everything has been really well thought out. This our second year here and its perfect for taking dogs. Highly recommend if you want to escape the rat race and relax.

Amazing place everything you need. Heating keeps it lovely and cozy but also a log burner. We decided to go to avoid fireworks for new year as dogs are terrified, not firework in sight, only amazing night sky . Definitely will book again.

We had a great week in Lundy-The Views with our two spaniels. We were surprised by how spacious the pod was with its clever design. The view across to Lundy is breathtaking. We had a lovely week staying in Lundy the views. The Views from the pod are beautiful. The pod is so cosy. Comfy bed and spotlessly clean. There is a smart tv with Prime Video, Netflix, and more It was lovely knowing that our dog could wander around the garden without escaping while we sat in the garden with a glass of wine just taking in the viewRead mores. The log burner came in really handy on the last few nights when it got chilly. Spacious bathroom with lovely walk in shower. We 100% recommend. Hide

The lodges are beautiful, with spacious gardens and lovely double doors from both the bedroom and kitchen. The setting is peaceful, though gardens are close together, so privacy can be limited. A wonderfully located cottage. It is modern and complete with everything you need. It is also very dog friendly. Since we were there when the wether was not that great with strong winds, sitting outside was uncomfortable. A larger windscreen would help remedy that. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it!
