Otters Holt is a peaceful two-bedroom timber lodge overlooking the main fishing lake, set within a carefully spaced woodland setting that offers a real sense of privacy and seclusion. Surrounded by woodland with lake views stretching out before it, the lodge provides a calm and restorative retreat in the North Devon countryside. Sleeping up to four guests across a double and a twin bedroom, it is well suited to couples, families, friends and anglers seeking a relaxing break. Bideford, a historic port and market town on the River Torridge, is known as the "Little White Town" from Charles Kingsley's novel Westward Ho!. The town's popular Pannier Market sells local crafts and produce on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while the Long Bridge, built in 1268, spans the river with 24 arches, each a different size. Overlooking the lake and surrounded by nature, Otters Holt offers a peaceful base from which to enjoy the area.

The timber-built lodge provides comfortable accommodation designed for year-round stays, with double glazing and central heating throughout. A welcoming living space offers room to relax after a day outdoors, while Wi-Fi is available, although signal strength can vary due to the woodland location. The sleeping accommodation comprises one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, with bed linen, duvets and towels provided and beds made up ready for arrival. The family bathroom features a bath with a shower over and a WC. Electricity is included, adding to the convenience of a stay designed to be as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

A private enclosed veranda with outdoor seating enjoys beautiful views across the lake and surrounding woodland, creating the perfect spot to watch wildlife, enjoy a morning coffee or simply take in the peaceful surroundings. A BBQ is provided for al fresco dining, while woodland walks throughout the grounds offer excellent opportunities for wildlife spotting, including sightings of kingfishers. Guests also enjoy shared access to the estate's fishing lake, with free coarse and carp fishing available on the main lake; guests should bring their own rods and equipment. One allocated woodland parking space is provided, and a shared metered tumble dryer is available on site. Up to two dogs are welcome, and the lodge is non-smoking throughout.
