We found the property very comfortable, well equipped and well maintained. It felt like a real home from home. Being a retired Occupational Therapist I was particularly impressed with the level of accessibility for someone with mobility problems, even someone totally dependent on using a wheelchair. There was a flush-floor wet room downstairs, rampRead mores from the parking area and level access into both access doors, rails, equipment such as shower stools, and even a lift from the large kitchen into the bedroom. Upstairs there were 2 more bathrooms with showers over the bath. I would fully recommend this extremely comfortable, high standard property to anyone with mobility problems. You would not be unable to access any room. Having said all that, none of our group of 8 friends had any mobility problems and we all felt totally comfortable in the house. Some accessible properties have a clinical feel to them, but this was not the case with The Stables at all. We are very grateful to the very welcoming owners of the property for hiring it to us for the week. Hide

This is a lovely holiday home. Good location, accommodation spacious, well equipped with a quiet outside area. It was hard to believe we were in the heart of the town. We would happily visit again and would recommend this particularly if you have a member of the party with a physical disability.

We had another fantastic stay at The Stables in Lynton. Its a lovely place, perfect for both people and pets, and its well set up for disabled access and living. The downstairs area is spacious and comfortable, while upstairs, the accommodation is cleverly split into two wings, each with two bedrooms and a bathroomideal for families or groups. IRead morets incredibly well-equipped with everything you could possibly need, and I have to say, the presentation was immaculate (and I do mean immaculatenot a speck of dirt anywhere!). I could quite happily move in permanently. Lynton and Lynmouth have long been our go-to UK holiday destination, offering a little bit of everythingstunning scenery, fantastic walks, and friendly people. The local shops and restaurants are great, and we always treat ourselves to a takeaway from The Spicy Mare, which wed highly recommend. The Stables is a hidden gem and makes for a really enjoyable holiday. Its also a great base for exploring further afield, with plenty of options for day trips to other coastal destinations and places of interest nearby. Well definitely be back! Hide
