Description

Converted to a very high standard whilst ensuring space and character and is stylishly presented throughout. An imposing glazed entrance opens up into a spacious double height hallway with curved ash wood staircase and apex beamed ceiling. An attractive good size lounge has ample comfy seating surrounding a large inglenook with woodburner ideal for the cooler seasons. The large kitchen/diner is very well equipped and has an additional utility room off to the side ideal for extra storage. This is a wonderful place to enjoy special meals with family and friends or chat about plans for the day over breakfast.  With flexible sleeping, facilities (including a wheelchair lift to first floor and ground floor wet room with bath knight) for visitors with restricted mobility as well as welcoming dogs this is a great house for family to get together or couples wishing to enjoy time with friends.  The first floor is divided into two areas each with two attractive bedrooms and a bathroom (ideal for two families wishing to holiday together).  One bedroom has a four poster bed and wheelchair lift access to the kitchen diner. The twin rooms have zip and link beds that can be converted to King and Superking beds on request. A wet room is provided on the ground floor.  Both the lounge and kitchen diner have glazed doors leading out onto a patio and fully enclosed garden area with ample furniture to enjoy alfresco dining on sunny days and balmy evenings. The Stables is an ideal property in the perfect spot to explore Exmoor and its dramatic coastline. With its deeply cut valleys, spectacular cliff top walks, heather moors and many famous beauty spots, walkers and their dogs will be spoilt for choice when it comes to easy or challenging walks along the beach, riverside or moorland and there are opportunities for horse riding, fishing or a safari over Exmoor.  For those who wish to go further afield the sandy surfing beaches of Woolacombe Bay, the picturesque harbour town of Ilfracombe or the Market town of Barnstaple are all within a 20 to 40 minute drive.

Kitchen/Dining room with electric ceramic hob and electric fan oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, large dining suite, Freeview TV, DVD player, radio/CD and wheelchair lift access to first floor.  Utility room with sink, Fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and storage space. Wet room with rain shower and hand held shower, WC, basin and shower stool. First floor: Bedroom 1 with Superking and Freeview TV and DVD player. Bedroom 2 with Twin zip ‘n’ links that can be converted to Superking on request. Bedroom 3 with four poster Double and access to wheelchair lift to ground floor. Bedroom 4 with 2’6” twin zip ‘n’ links that can be converted to a King on request. Bathroom with bath, shower over bath, Bath Knight to provide easier use of bath for visitors with restricted mobility, WC, bidet and basin. Bathroom with mixer shower over bath, WC and basin.

Wifi broadband.  Wheelchair lift to first floor, 2 travel cots, 1 highchair and a stairgate is available. Garden furniture provided. No smoking. 3 pets welcome. Private parking for 2 cars ONLY (one within property gates and one within the gated mews just 30 yards). Short breaks available November to March. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Friday.
