This modern individually designed holiday chalet has had every detail thought of in its layout and is in a great location, within a few minutes’ walk of Croyde beach. Here you will find amazing surf and at low tide either end of the sandy beach, rock pools for those little ones who want to explore to see what they can find. The quaint village is only a short walk and offers pretty thatched tea rooms, a selection of restaurants, pubs and stores, also ideal for hiring surf boards and wetsuits. 

The porch is ideal for storing all the families walking boots and flip flops.  On entering Cockleshell, the open plan kitchen/dining/living room features vaulted ceilings and large picture windows, oak flooring with underfloor heating throughout, an electric velux window providing more light from the ceiling which hangs with industrial light fittings. The holiday home’s kitchen area is light with bright white units and a lovely blue glass splashback with modern appliances. There is the breakfast bar area, so ideal for that large cup of coffee to start your day, an oak dining table is provided for family gatherings and the living area with its two large sofas and Smart TV, Freeview and an XBOX 360, a Dimplex electric wood effect fire sits under the TV for extra warmth on a cooler day.

Walk through to the bedrooms and bathroom area, Bedroom one has a King size bed with Smart TV, built in wardrobe, patio doors to the rear decked area. Bedroom two with zip ‘n’ link 2”6 beds which can be made into a King size bed on request, Smart TV and bedroom three has a single. The bathroom provides a square end bath with shower over, washbasin and WC, heated towel radiator.

Cockleshell’s rear door takes you out to the small private decked patio area with table and chairs. There is a useful outside hot shower perfect for rinsing off after a day on the beach. Private parking for two cars. 

Accommodation: Porch.  Open plan kitchen/dining and living room with Smart TV, Freeview and XBOX 360.  Kitchen area with electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer.  Bedroom one with King size bed and Smart TV, patio doors to the rear decked area.  Bedroom two with Zip n link 2'6" beds which can be made into a King size bed with prior notice. Bedroom 3 with Single bed. Bathroom provides a square end bath with shower over, washbasin and WC, heated towel radiator.

Facilities and Services: Linen and towels. Air source underfloor heating. Wi-Fi. No smoking. 2 allocated parking spaces. Two pets allowed. Garden furniture. Short breaks available. Arrival time 4pm.  Departure time 10am Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Friday. Highchair and Travel cot. 


Lovely property, very well maintained and extremely clean on entry. Perfect location for walking to the beach and the town and would be more than suitable for children too. Would highly recommend staying at cockleshell and hopefully will be returning in the future!
