Only a short drive from some of the most beautiful beaches in North Devon, including Croyde famous for its surfing and golden sands, with the picturesque village offering a selection of pubs and character cottage tea rooms and stores.  A short drive also takes you to Putsborough beach that stretches for three miles.  This wonderful beach is pet friendly and has a beach café taking in the fabulous views.  Less than half a mile away you have the quaint village of Georgeham which is steeped in history, once being the home of Henry Williamson who wrote Tarka the Otter, this village boasts two excellent pubs both offering delicious award-winning food and real ales, a small Post Office/stores selling local free-range produce and is open seven days a week.

As you arrive, steps lead up to the outside patio area, totally enclosed with iron railings and front entrance door to the lovely large hallway with oak flooring, vaulted ceilings and white washed beams throughout.  The living/dining room, offers comfortable seating, views of the surrounding countryside and an oak dining table sits in the box window again offering beautiful countryside views.  An inglenook fireplace that divides the living room from the kitchen houses a wood burner providing extra warmth for those winter evenings.  Smart TV with Apple TV for visitors use (with their own login details).  The small and compact kitchen offers everything you need with built in electric cooker and microwave, washing machine, fridge with freezer compartment.  The master bedroom with oak flooring has a king size bed, full length mirror, Smart TV with Apple TV and countryside views, en-suite bathroom with corner shower, bath and vanity unit, WC.  A further beautifully tiled shower room has a large double hydro jet shower, perfect for those tired aching muscles after a day’s surfing or walking the coastal paths.

Great property, very clean and modern, everything you need including a great double shower and the bonus of the hot tub. Great location to walk into Croyde or Georgeham, for longer walks direct from the chalet Putsborough Sands and The South West Coastal path to Woolacombe, or in the other direction Saunton Sands via The South West Coastal path. Highly recommend Marsdens and Forda Hill Chalet. Great peaceful location, lovely views across the valley.

Mrs S,

An absolutely beautiful place to stay, everything that you could possibly want or wish for is in the property and all to the highest standard. We would definitely stay here again.

Previous Customer,

Second time at this place and enjoyed it as much as the first. Nice quiet location with easy walk into Croyde and surrounding area. We found it perfect.

Mr O,

Excellent property, could not fault it. Furnished and equipped to a very high standard. Loved the hot tub and 2 bathrooms! A great location, it was a fair walk to Croyde but a shorter walk to Georgeham. Would highly recommend it and Marsden Devon Cottages.

Mr B,

The property was in a good location and was very comfortable. We enjoyed the views and peacefulness.

Mrs S,

This was our first time to North Devon and we absolutely loved it! The Chalet was beautiful and nice and private and in a quiet location. The Village was BEAUTIFUL and had a couple dog friendly pubs and cafes within walking distance and we were literally spoilt for choices on which beach to visit! The village is pretty small and quiet but there’s bigger towns only a short drive away if that’s what you want. We are already talking about a 2nd visit.

miss S,

This is our second stay at Forda Hill chalet, each time we come back we want to stay longer, great location within easy reach of Croyde, a short walk to Putsbrough beach. Chalet has everything you could want. The cottage is set back from the road and is very quiet And the HOT TUB is fantastic .. We will be returning.

Mrs W,

We had a lovely break at Forda Hill Chalet. The accommodation is of a very high standard and we love that we could take our dogs for a walking holiday. It is a short walk into Croyde to go and eat at the pub, we were able to walk to Putsborough and on to Woolacombe along my favourite beach in the world, and generally enjoy North Devon as one of our favourite places to be, and the use of the hot tub topped it all off! I’d like to make note of the bed that was probably one of the most comfortable beds I have stayed on when not at home. Thank you for a lovely break.

Mrs T,

Myself, my partner and pooch absolutely loved this cottage. The showers and bath are fantastic. The front patio area is a glorious little sun trap and sheltered from the wind making it feel warmer than it is. The hot tub is fantastic and all the fixtures and fittings are above and beyond. 100% recommend this place and hope to stay here again.

Mr F,

Fabulous place in a beautiful location. All mod cons and clean and tidy. Little sun trap on the terrace. Peaceful and lovely views of countryside.

Mrs H,
