Description

Sundowner is a beautifully presented, 4-bedroom detached house situated in a quiet residential cul-de-sac just a short stroll from the village centre of Croyde. This chocolate box village with its scattering of thatched cottages, general stores and choice of family friendly pubs and restaurants is also a 10 minute walk along a pedestrian country lane to the magnificent sandy, surfing beach. A short distance away is the stunning National Trust Headland of Baggy Point, a magnet for walkers and lovers of the great outdoors.

The design of the property is such that the living room is arranged on the first floor to take full advantage of stunning views across wonderful North Devon countryside towards the ocean.  The main room has large comfy sofas, a wood burner for cooler seasons, wooden coffee table, Freesat HD TV/DVD and large sliding doors which lead out to the decked balcony where alfresco meals and wonderful views over the countryside towards the ocean can be enjoyed. The well equipped kitchen has plenty of natural light and ample workspace.  A breakfast bar seating 4 is ideal for quick snacks or for socialising and assisting the chef during food preparation, before enjoying a meal together around the dining table in the main room which has seating for 8.

Also on the first floor is a spacious master bedroom with king size bed.  With large built-in wardrobes and novel chest of drawers there is plenty of storage space whilst the room itself easily accommodates a bedside chair and single sofa bed (suitable for a child) as alternative sleeping.  There are en-suite facilities adjoining the master bedroom with a bath, shower over the bath, bidet, WC and hand basin.  A separate WC is also available on the first-floor landing.

Three of the bedrooms, two doubles and a bunk bedded room are on the ground floor. All have plenty of storage space, enjoy views over the garden and share the family bathroom. There is also a cloakroom/WC on the ground floor which has a lockable internal door to the garage which provides great storage space for surf boards and bikes.  Here you can also indulge your competitive side with a game of table tennis.

Sundowner also benefits from an enclosed rear garden, laid mostly to lawn with a paved area, charcoal barbecue and garden furniture.  The garden gate leads out onto the footpath providing access to the village, whilst the driveway will accommodate 2-3 cars. 

Croyde is a wonderful location for families and friends whether you look forward to spending a day on the beach, riding the waves, taking a shopping trip to the market town of Barnstaple, cycle the Tarka Trail from Braunton, or even venturing further afield to explore the stunning expanse of Exmoor with its picturesque villages and hamlets there is something for everyone to enjoy.

This was a lovely holiday home close to all amenities, Saunton sands and Putsborough sands where great and allowed dogs Bonus with the teenagers was the table tennis table in the garage the garden was completely enclosed There were 8 of us and 2 dogs and it wasn't overcrowded we could find our own space
