The Orangery provides a very spacious first floor apartment (some internal steps) located in the East Wing of a former Gentleman's residence built in 1815. The building more recently operated as the locally renowned Lynton Cottage Hotel until converted into 10 apartments in 2017.  The Orangery has been designed and refurbished to a very good standard and takes advantage of its unique cliff top position to offer the most spectacular, panoramic sea views, whilst also retaining much of the original character of this 200-year old historic Grade II listed building. This lovely accommodation is located on the South West Coastal Path, and is less than 5 minutes' walk from the village amenities of Lynton. A ride on the nearby Cliff Railway allows easy access to the picturesque twin coastal village of Lynmouth with its picturesque harbour, Manor greens and rock and shingle beach.  Coastal, riverside and country walks are all easily accessible and there are some famous beauty spots such as the Valley of the Rocks and Watersmeet all within a short drive or exhilarating walk.  The Orangery has its own private entrance at the side of the building leading into a very spacious open plan living area.  With a high apex ceiling, a large Victorian skylight, country style open plan kitchen and a dining area.  The master bedroom at the front has a beautiful carved wooden bed, its own balcony offering magnificent sea views and an ensuite bathroom, with power shower. A further twin room that can be converted to a superking on request also has lovely sea views. For flexible sleeping, a high-quality day bed is provided in an additional lounge area(giving access to the bedrooms) This can therefore provide an ideal base for couples, families or friends wishing to holiday together. A private pebbled patio can be found to the side of the building and is an ideal place to relax and enjoy alfresco meals whilst taking in the special views.

Accommodation: Steps to private entrance on First floor: Open plan living/dining room with  48" Smart TV, DAB radio, large dining suite and bay window area with sea views. Kitchen area with electric range cooker(5 hobs, hotplate 2 ovens and grill), microwave, fridge,/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.  Steps down to  additional  lounge with day bed ideal for alternative sleeping. Shower room with power shower, WC and basin.  Bedroom 1 with King, TV private balcony with magnificent sea views and ensuite bathroom with bath, power shower over bath, WC and washbasin. Beautiful accommodation with spectacular views out over the sea. Well equipped and close to Lynton shops and cafes. We loved it despite blustery wet weather for the week we were there (Feb) - it was a great base to return to and the weather made the sea view even more beautiful.

Mrs M,

A lovely place to spend a week! Spectacular views from the bedrooms and the atmospheric main room is a great contrast. Would highly recommend.

Mr K,
