Simply stunning! Hygge House is beautiful coastal property in the popular seaside village of Shaldon. If you’re looking for contemporary living in a stylish retreat this one ticks all the boxes.
Accommodation is all on one level, the open plan living area is bright and spacious. The light floods through the wide French doors and elevated window at ceiling level. The corner wood burning stove is perfect for cosying up to during the cooler evenings. A large soft corner sofa face the garden, so kick off your shoes with a book and a glass of wine and just relax. There is also thermostat controlled electric underfloor heating throughout. The well equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking up your favourite dishes, but why not give yourself a break and book a table at one of the excellent restaurants in the village, all within walking distance. Both bedrooms both have fabulous beautifully fitted out ensuites with large raindrop shower heads and bath tubs. The beds are strewn with fur throws with fresh white bedding and grey and white decor. Outside the Hygge has a lovely lawned garden area - perfect for children and dogs.
This scandi wood clad cabin is in a central location in Shaldon, a quaint little fishing town, opposite Teignmouth at the mouth of the River Teign, hop on one of the regular ferries and explore further afield. It’s a great place for walking too with the South West Coastal Path offering some fabulous coastal strolls right on the doorstep. Follow one of the nature trails, do a spot of bird watching on the river or try your hand at one of the water sports on offer. Golfing enthusiasts will enjoy the 18 hole golf course, the charming local conservation zoo is a must, as are the fabulous beaches and the Homeyards Botanical Gardens. Visit in August and join in the fun of the annual Shaldon Regatta, so be prepared to get swept up in the merriment! Guests are within a 20 minutes' drive of the lively attractions of Torquay and the surrounding area has many popular National Trust properties, beaches and coastal tourist attractions.
This fabulous coastal retreat is aptly named "Hygge" (pronounced Hoo-gah) translates from Danish, meaning bliss, cosiness, comfort and friendship. And this property delivers on all accounts, whatever the weather!

Kitchen: Neff oven, induction hob, integral microwave and a fridge with freezer compartments, dishwasher and washing machine. Separate freezer available in adjoining garage
Master Bedroom: King-sized bed with en-suite with toiletries
Bedroom 2: 2 x 3ft singles which can be zipped together if required. En-suite with toiletries.
Additional camp bed and travel cot available if required.
Storage in the bedrooms consists of a high shelf running the length of each bedroom - drawers under each bed and recessed hanging rail in bedroom one ; hooks in bedroom two.
Bathrooms: 2 x en-suites, contemporary and stylish with rain-drop shower heads, bath tubs, WC and wash hand basin.
Outside: Outdoor seating area and gas BBQ. Shed is fully stocked with buckets, spades and crabbing nets.
Parking: Private parking for 2 cars on the driveway.

Security deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable to Marsdens Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.
