Get away from it all at this cute cottage in a beautiful, peaceful setting. With Dartmoor, the south coast, and pretty towns nearby there’s plenty to see and do, or just relax in the shared swimming pool and hot tub, have a BBQ in your private garden and wander around the orchards with Fido by your side.

Spread over three floors, there’s plenty of space for two plus one trusty canine companion. The cottage has been refurbished with contemporary interiors and fittings yet still has lots of stunning original features. Go up five steps to the front door and inside to the lovely, light living/dining room. Relax on the funky sofa in front of the TV or a good movie while your pup sleeps next to the wood burner. Enjoy romantic meals at the table for two, prepared in the cute kitchen downstairs, and at bedtime, head down to the floor below for a great night’s sleep in the king bed, with the shower room next door. Light the BBQ and dine al fresco, explore the 4-acre communal grounds, have a dip in the shared pool then relax in the hot tub outside on the veranda with stunning country views. Keen cyclists will be pleased that there’s secure bike storage too.

Grab the lead and head out for a walk on Beacon Hill nearby, explore the wilds of Dartmoor National Park (5 miles away), home to stunning scenery and rich wildlife. Visit the quirky shops in Totnes (6 miles); known as an eccentric town it also has a fascinating history with a castle and historic buildings to explore. Visit the bustling seaside town of Torquay (10 miles) and nearby beaches, then stop off at one of the two pubs at Broadhempston (1 mile) for a hearty supper.

The owners of this cottage made us feel so welcomed and go above and beyond to enable you to have the best stay! It was the most beautiful cottage and photos does not do it justice! The facilities were incredible and could not fault a single aspect of our stay, will definitely be returning.

Small and perfectly formed cottage for 2+ 1 dog with orchards and adjacent woodland to let our dog have a good run first thing in the morning. Owners are on site are friendly and helpful. A perfect rural base to explore the beautiful Devon coast and countryside.

Lovely house, beautiful gardens, orchard and nearby woodland to roam in. Having use of the swimming pool and hot tub on a rota was fantastic. Why holiday anywhere else?

Super set of cottages, recently built from old fallen down barns. The spirit of the place is wonderful. The swimming pool is a triumph. Lovely owners.

A wonderful place to stay , the owners are very helpful and welcoming . The pool and hot tub are fantastic and the owners ensure you have allocated time to use the pool which is a really good idea . Surrounded by beautiful countryside with lots of sites to visit . We would definately go again

We loved this property and the facilities. Our dog was very chilled and content there. We had the pool to ourselves and spent time in the hot tub looking at the beautiful views over Devon. Lovely cottage, had everything I needed and everything worked! And that is not always the case, we've had to do various diy repairs in previous rentals, (not yours) very nice helpful owners living on site. Was a bit too remote for me, the access in and out of Boadhempstone was a bit of a challenge.

Absolutely beautiful place, accommodation itself and surrounding area, so many lives walks, and its pure bliss and country side! If your looking for a wind down and to completely relax and shut off from everyday life then this is the place for you! In the middle of nowhere, and really picturesque! There is a village pub and shop in walking distanceRead more but a fair few towns 20-30 minutes drive. Owner so lovely and helpful, even made us some cupcakes for our arrival! For a relaxing weekend away from the rat race, it was perfect. Close enough to walk to a pub but far enough to be peaceful and tranquil. A perfect little cottage with everything you need, had 3 nights and it felt like a week, lovely.

This place was perfect for a short getaway, although I would have loved to have stayed longer! Out in the middle of nowhere was a great change to normal life too! The place was so beautiful and cosy as well. Great location as there is a lot to do in the surrounding areas. Very useful directions to get the best route to the cottage.
