Tucked away on the northern edge of Dartmoor National Park amongst beautiful Devon countryside, this contemporary lodge is perfect for families. With walks from your doorstep, you will be able to enjoy a slower pace of life by immersing yourselves in the rural tranquillity and soaking up the picturesque views. Despite its quiet location, you’re only 2 miles from the bustling market town of Okehampton, where you’ll find historic interest, independent shops and a range of eateries. After a day exploring, head home for a soak under the stars in your private hot tub.

Exquisitely decorated in contemporary grey tones and stylish fixtures and fittings, this light and airy lodge is the ideal place to relax. Accessed via a small flight of steps, you enter the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where floor to ceiling windows and French doors allow light to flood in. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you’ll need, whilst there is ample seating at the table and in front of the TV. There are two charming bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite, and a family bathroom to complete the accommodation. Outside, you can enjoy a spot of al fresco dining on the terrace before diving into the hot tub.

With an abundance of natural beauty, this area of Devon has plenty to offer families and the proximity to the A30 makes travelling easy. Within Dartmoor itself, there are miles of walking and cycling trails, many of which take in charming towns and villages such as Chagford and Moretonhampstead (within 17 miles). For a walk with the wow factor, head to the National Trust’s Lydford Gorge (7.5 miles) or Castle Drogo (14 miles). For those looking to experience something a little more cosmopolitan, you can even head to the city of Exeter (27 miles).

Beautiful lodge in a peaceful location. Lodge was modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the hot tub immensely after a day out. The location is close to a lot of nice villages and towns where you will find a good selection of eateries. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful lodge, area was very peaceful. We stayed over Christmas and the lodge was all decorated for us which was lovely. The pub was closed which Id imagine was due to it being Christmas, however the town was wonderful and the people very friendly.

The lodge was very nice. Home from home. Spacious but cozy. Kitchen was fitted out with everything you could need. Having the washing machine was an added bonus, and one we took full use of - no washing when getting home! The guide to the local area was great, but could include maps of nearby walks, or places you can let a dog off its lead.
