Further afield, Exmoor National Park (5.5 miles) offers scenic walks and cycle ways which lead ‘over the border’ to neighbouring Somerset’s coastline. North Devon is home to an abundance of sandy beaches though, with Westward Ho! (21.5 miles) and Saunton (20 miles) just two that are within easy reach.
