The Cottage nestles in a peaceful Exmoor valley surrounded by beautiful countryside. It is within walking distance of Hunters Inn, a famous and popular county inn now owned by the National Trust, which is a great place to enjoy a meal, cream tea or just a drink after a walk to Heddons Mouth.  This is a truly wonderful location, ideal for getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life where you can relax, unwind and take in the surrounding peace and tranquillity.  Walkers will be spoilt for choice with footpaths close by leading to picturesque coves, lush green valleys and open moorland.  This beautifully converted barn has been furnished and equipped to a high standard throughout in a modern contemporary style whilst retaining some original character including exposed stonework, beams and low ceilings (6’6”).  One of only 3 holiday properties at the same location these are ideal for a family or couples wishing to holiday together or separately.  On the ground floor there is a good sized attractive living room with an open tread steep staircase to the first floor. The kitchen/diner is amply equipped for catering for your family and friends. On the first floor are two very attractive bedrooms each offering country views and the Twin bedded room has the advantage of ensuite facilities.  A family bathroom is also on this floor.  The Cottage has its own dedicated decked patio area at the front, and you can also enjoy a shared grassed area with picnic tables adjacent. This pet friendly cottage also offers a meadow/grassed area just 50 yd from the cottage which is ideal for exercising your best friend. The hamlet of Trentishoe is only a 15 minute scenic drive to the picturesque twin Exmoor villages of Lynton and Lynmouth and the sand, rock and shingle cove of Combe Martin famous for its smugglers tales and historic silver mines.  There are opportunities for riding and fishing in the area or if you are looking for a sandy surfing beach then you are only a 40 minute drive to the award winning beach resort of Woolacombe.

Had a wonderful time in a very beautiful place. Walking the coastline and cycling on the Tarka line was special as well as the great accommodation and meeting Rosie and Dominic. Thank you.

Ms Susan P,

This was an excellent cottage, practically brand-new. Great location and the cottage has everything that you need and was spotlessly clean. Wi-Fi was excellent and we knew about lack of phone signal in advance, which was no problem. Nice little touches from Dominic such as umbrella, torch and stuff for the dog. Also, good commitment to recycling and environment. You can walk to Hunters Inn although the walk back to the cottage is quite strenuous. All in all, highly recommended.

Mr Graham V,

One of the nicest cottages we’ve stayed in. Spacious, immaculate, great facilities and an amazing location. The owner was also really friendly and helpful. We’d definitely book again.

Ms Val G,

Could not fault this property. Lovely cottage in a beautiful remote location with a very pleasant and welcoming host. Would definitely book here again if visiting Exmoor. Ideal area for walking.

Mrs Christine R,

A delightful and well equipped cottage in an amazing location

Mrs Judith R,

Gorgeous cottage, spotless and very homely. Beautiful area, very peaceful with a quaint church just 200 yards away, well worth a visit, especially to see the residing bats!

Ms Helen C,

We had an lovely stay and the owners we very welcome on arrival. The cottage was beautifully decorated and the setting was amazing. The location is very remote, access on the local roads is a little windy and tight, but such quiet and comfortable place to be.

Mr S E,

The property was spotless, and an excellent layout. The garden too was lovely for eating outside. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. We would certainly recommend the property for a holiday in the most stunning area of Devon.

Mrs Christine H,

Thank you Dominic for being so helpful - stunning location and perfect accommodation. 10 out of 10 for The Cottage, lovely holiday.
