Our South Hams cottages in Kingswear make a great base for exploring Torbay, a UNESCO World Heritage site just a short drive away - or take the car or passenger ferry across to Dartmouth and explore the stunning coastline which sits in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With a little shop and a couple of pubs, Kingswear has enough local amenities to make it a relaxing car-free holiday if you choose, plus it’s only a short ferry crossing to the busier town of Dartmouth. The Torbay area is a go-to destination for Agatha Christie fans, but everyone loves a visit to her old home, Greenway House, regardless of whether you are familiar with the author’s work or not. Now a National Trust property, Greenway House is a fascinating museum with beautiful, wooded grounds and a cafe and shop on site.
