This beautiful lodge is located on the fringe of Dartmoor National Park, where you’ll find a rugged landscape full of hidden gems – it’s a real walkers’ paradise. Lydford Gorge is just 7 miles away and offers peace and tranquillity in abundance. The vibrant city of Exeter is 26 miles away and has a fantastic selection of independent shops and eateries. The iconic sandy beaches of the north coast are within touring distance, at just over 30 miles.

The fabulous property is accessed via a set of external steps. Once inside, discover a delightful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, full of elegant touches to create a warm ambience. The French doors that lead to the outside area ensure the space is bathed in natural light. This is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day, surrounded by rich fabrics and plush soft furnishings. Outside, there’s a decked area where you can fire up the BBQ before sinking into the hot tub under the stars. Children are welcome to use the play area in the neighbouring inn.

Wander through the underground passages, peek inside the cathedral and enjoy al fresco dining in one of the many restaurants dotted along the canal. If you’re looking for a family day out, Crealy Theme Park is just over 30 miles away and offers over 60 rides, an animal centre and indoor soft play.

Great accommodation and staff extremely helpful. Could not fault the kitchen for equipment, it was like home from home. The ability with a young family to be able to cook was wonderful. We would definitely stay again

It was a lovely, clean, bright lodge in a very quiet setting, the only downside was the 60 booking fee placed on top, so paying out for a week holiday, then 250 damages deposit and then adding the 60 just to book it was abit of a slap in the face. Very nice relaxing break but the 60 added for no reason is why we wouldn't return

What a lovely property! Very nicely presented with all the home comforts, kitchen items, utensils, utility goods etc. and everything was clean and tidy. Nice sunny position on either of the decking options throughout the day. The hot tub was huge and was checked during our stay too. The Betty Cottles Inn was a bit of a let down which meant driving Read moreout if you wanted drinks/pub meals - which is a shame as it's right on the doorstep for Meldon Lodge Park. Hide
