Return to nature in this off-grid, beautifully designed pod in the Devonshire countryside. Located in a peaceful lakeside setting, this romantic stay for two humans and two pups is a perfect retreat for those seeking tranquillity. Return from rural walks to the bubbling hot tub and soak those aches away.

Step inside this quirky glamping pod, where you’ll notice every comfort has been considered and every need tended to. As you drop down your bags, put the kettle on and make yourselves at home in the studio-style open-plan layout. Despite its compact design, this wonderful holiday home provides all the mod cons needed for a stress-free stay, including a Smart TV, a fridge, a microwave and a hot tub overlooking lovely lakeside landscapes. Whip up tasty meals for you and your happy hounds, and dine outside or in. Alternatively, if you don’t feel like cooking, there is a highly rated pub/restaurant on-site to treat yourselves to a delicious meal without the cleanup. When it’s time to turn in, sink into the king-size bed after a long day of exploring.

There’s every reason not to venture far at all, but should you decide to, plenty will keep you occupied throughout the day. Right from your doorstep, make the 2-mile journey to the market town of Okehampton to pick up cooking supplies and, perhaps, some specialist equipment for walking, cycling or climbing. Use these newly gained tools to explore Dartmoor National Park, which provides an extensive network of scenic trails for all skill levels. The pod is cleverly located close to the A30, which gives you easy access to the city of Exeter (26 miles), Lydford Gorge (7 miles) and Adventure Okehampton (2.5 miles).

The Elder lake is really lovely and cosy and it has everything you need. It was very quiet and peaceful. I would recommend to a friend and have already sent them the link! I would also book to stay again in the future. Its very accessible just off the A30 and close to great walks.

Lovely lodge to stay in and super location. The equipment provided is excellent and the lodge is very comfortable. After an impulsive booking based on the pictures and not much research I can confirm that the Elder Lake Pod not only lives upto expectations on appearance but its also situated in a beautiful location as well. Was told the hot tub wasn't working on 1st day of arrival, was moved 3 times to a lodge, not the pod we had originally booked. We only stayed 1 week, and was only able to use a hot tub on the 4th day. Would not return again
