It is also just a stone's throw away from Saunton Sands, a massive expanse of beach with thousands of hectares of dunes behind it. It's one of the biggest dune systems in the UK and is known as Braunton Burrows. There are dykes, unique and ancient field systems, and dunes – lots of dunes. Walkers love it. And it’s great for dogs too.
